The Women’s Resource Centre launches brand refresh.

New logo. New website. Same mission & vision.

The Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) is thrilled to announce that it has completed a brand refresh exercise, including a three-year strategic plan, new logo, website and marketing materials after several months of preparation.

The Women’s Resource Centre has supported women in Bermuda since its inception in 1987. Over its 36 years of existence, the WRC’s priorities, support services and programmes have evolved to meet the complex needs of women in the community.

Julia Hawkins, WRC Board Chair said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to express how excited we are to share our new strategic plan and fresh look with the Bermudian community. We are confident that by continuing to build on our more than 35 years of experience, the WRC will be able to execute its new strategy, leverage its strengths, meet women where they are in life’s journey, and continue enhancing the lives of women and families in Bermuda.

Our strategic priorities for the 2023-2025 period are:

Organisational stability - A restructured organisation with the financial, governance and operational competency to achieve its mission;

Supporting women in transition - Providing women with access to programmes and services that will support them as they navigate life’s transitions; and,

Advocacy and awareness - A centralised hub to collaboratively advocate on behalf of women in Bermuda.”

Juanae Crockwell, WRC Executive Director said:

“In our recent strategic review, it became clear that The Women’s Resource Centre was in need of a brand refresh. After almost four decades in service to women in Bermuda, our focus has shifted from exclusively providing crisis intervention services, to expanding into support services, access to mental health care, education, advocacy, and empowerment.

This brand refresh reflects who The Women’s Resource Centre is; what we do; and, who we serve. It is the first step towards building greater public awareness of our organisation and the meaningful services and programmes we offer, which are designed to equip women with the tools, resources and networks needed to build healthy and successful lives.

We are energised and ready to continue the work that we do and hope that through this awareness campaign our connection to the community will be strengthened; more women will be supported; and our network will expand.”

The new WRC logo is a representation of the WRC vision, which is a future where all women in Bermuda have access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to lead lives of safety, fulfilment, and empowerment.

Our website has been completely revamped, with a beautiful design but also new functions that will improve efficiency. Service users are now able to complete intake forms directly on our website, book counselling sessions, join our mailing list and register for workshops and events. Additionally, donors now have the convenience of making credit or debit card donations online.

The Women’s Resource Centre offers counselling and support services, community education and training, in addition to its advocacy and awareness work. We also serve as a liaison organisation, connecting women with the services they need to thrive.

 This brand refresh, along with all the WRC programmes and services, are made possible through the generosity of individual and corporate donors.

Members of the public are invited to an Open House event on Monday September 25th from 12pm to 6pm at the WRC office in Sophia House. Stop by and have a tour of the WRC office, meet our staff and discover upcoming events and programmes.

Note: Our logo was designed by Christine Jones of Thirty86 Designs and our website was built by Carrie Thorimbert of Halo Creatives Design Studio.
