Purple Thursday Gala
Join us for the second annual Purple Thursday Gala on October 16th, 2024, as we come together to raise awareness about domestic abuse and support the Women’s Resource Centre.

This one-day experience is designed to uplift and inspire girls aged 11–15 through creativity, connection, and self-discovery. Rooted in social-emotional learning, the retreat blends interactive workshops, art, affirmations, and cultural exploration — all in a fun, safe, and supportive space.

Join us for an engaging and informative workshop on nutrition during pregnancy, designed to support expecting mothers in making healthy choices for themselves and their growing babies. In this session, we’ll cover essential topics, including:
Debunking Pregnancy Myths – Get clarity on common myths like "eating for two," managing morning sickness, and breastfeeding tips.
Balanced Nutrition – Learn how to maintain a well-rounded diet that meets your body’s needs during pregnancy.
Key Nutrients – Discover the importance of nutrients like iron and folic acid for a healthy pregnancy.
Foods to Avoid – Understand which foods and substances, such as alcohol and excessive caffeine, are best avoided during this time.
